Jeffrey Commons is a village of 10 mini-homes for formerly incarcerated individuals retuning to our community. The main goal of this integrated housing project is to promote the well-being of individuals and create community. At the heart is a courtyard gathering space for residents to relax and promote social interactions. Careful consideration was given to the flow of the walkways and the location of the open space. Decorative arbors were placed facing the street to welcome residents and visitors. Raised plant beds line the open space creating a functional and interactive space for residents. Jeffrey Commons is a welcoming, accessible, and inclusive environment that helps foster transition to an independent lifestyle.
