Ecological Design:

Noted for balancing natural systems with client needs, DLA actively seeks projects in which the principles of sustainability inform the work. Green practices, such as native plantings, stormwater retention / treatment, habitat creation / restoration, bio-swales, wetland mitigation and drip irrigation, are integrated into many DLA projects.

Other sustainable design features utilized in our projects include previous concrete paving, concrete pavers, rainwater harvesting and green roof design.

Stormwater management has become an important part of each project. DLA pursues creative ways to integrate stormwater into the overall project design while considering long-term maintenance.
