David Dougherty, Principal, ASLA
David Dougherty is the firm principal and lead designer. A landscape architect for over 20 years, early in his career he worked for the renowned Hanna/Olin in Philadelphia. Dougherty was instrumental in several high-profile civic projects, including The Wexner Art Center on the Ohio State University campus, and Bryant Park and The New York Public Library restoration in Manhattan .
Dougherty's work at Hanna/Olin provided the foundation for DLA's approach to the art and practice of landscape architecture. The result has been numerous well recognized contributions to the built environment in the Northwest.
Dougherty is the former chair of the ASLA Southern Willamette Section. He is also a member of the Construction Specifier's Institute and an affiliate member of the American Institute of Architects. He currently serves on the 4J School District 's Design Advisory Committee.

Rex Redmon has been a member of DLA since 1994. Rex is a 1991 graduate of the University of Florida Landscape Architecture program and a licensed landscape architect in the state of Oregon. Rex brings a unique combination of practical construction experience, design skill and knowledge of sound and sustainable environmental practices to his daily work.
Rex is a firm Associate and serves as manager for a wide variety of projects. He has extensive and successful collaborative experience with public agencies including school districts, parks departments and the US Forest Service. He has developed strong working relationships with artists, other design professionals and the professional construction community.
Rex is a current member of the City of Eugene’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee and has a long history of volunteer work with the GEARS and the Eugene Bicycle Coalition. He also previously served on the Lane County Roads Advisory Committee for 12 years and the Central Lane Metropolitan Policy Committee’s Citizen Advisory Board.

Eric Parsons joined the firm in 2001. Eric, a Louisiana native, holds a masters degree in landscape architecture from LSU. Prior to joining DLA, he worked for a public parks agency and in private practice. At DLA, he provides design for a wide variety of projects including schools, parks, housing and retail developments. He is also responsible for the production of accurate cost estimates.
